Howard M. Smith Diamond State Masters: Survivor Row
June 20, 2026 - Townsend, DE
Join us for the 5th annual Survivor Row at Diamond States. We will race in composite boats.
The First Diamond State Regatta (DSMR) was held August 4th, 1991. Approximately three hundred rowers competed in thirty five events. The actual length of the course, determined by the distance between the starting platforms and Rodney Point across from the campus, measured 1073 meters. Nobody seemed to mind the extra 73 meters.
By 2006, the Regatta had swelled to almost one hundred heats all held on a busy Sunday from 8:15 am to 6 pm. Over one thousand rowers representing over fifty rowing organizations participated. The regatta has since moved to a more relaxed two-day event, hosted by the Wilmington Rowing Center.

Head of the Charles 2026: Survivor Row
October 17, 2026 - Cambridge, MA
We’ve already built an amazing history at the Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) — the world’s largest and most prestigious rowing event.
Our journey began in 2023, when 12 SRN members competed in the Grand Master 8+ and 4+. In 2024, we made history by collaborating with HOCR to host the inaugural HOCR Survivor Row, featuring 11 boats from the U.S., France, and Italy. Last year, 14 boats from around the world raced in our second annual HOCR Survivor Row.
This year, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, we will race in our the third annual HOCR Survivor Row.
